One of the reasons I'm a photographer is because for as long as I can remember I've often been stopped in my tracks by simple, everyday beauty and feel an intense urge to preserve it forever.
Yesterday was one of those days.
I was minding my business, doing chores I think, when I walked past my son's baby sunflowers. I noticed that not only had he watered them on his own without me having to remind him, but the way he'd watered them with a spray bottle had caused water droplets to cling to the stems like tiny, transparent gems.
Whatever chore I'd set out to do didn't get done because I immediately dug out and dusted off my macro lens to capture that beauty and preserve it indefinitely.
